Hi there! We are 1ESO students of high school Sunsi Mora in Canet de Mar. Here is our survey of fish captures of Arenys harbor.

The most fished

The Sardinian or sardine (Sardina pilchardus) is a fish of around Clupeiformes, the family of clupeidae, bluish, the flanks and belly silvery color bright, inhabiting coastal areas that captures and consumes in large quantities because of its high nutritional value.

The anchovy or anchovy (Engraulis encrasicolus) is a family of fish clupeidae, often consumed preserved in water and salt, taking the name anchovy. By extension, the anchovy is the common name given to the anchovies in many parts of Valencia and southern Catalonia.

Comments from Sharky (Marine species)

Hello!

I can't believe the exciting menus you are showing me in your infographics!
And I can see that the species that you make more profit are not the same ones that you catch more of, interesting... as a shark I also think that not all the creatures in the sea are as tasty, ha,ha!

Now I have a question for you. You are all studying the Mediterranean sea, but you don't show the same species. Looking at the infographics of the other participating schools, which specie has surprised you more to find?
Please leave your comments, I would love to hear your opinion.
THANK YOU!!!

We are what we fish

We want to present our work about Species we capture at Maresme North Zone. We say Maresme because the fisher boat moves all around the legal determined fishing zone.
We apologize to do the work in Catalan. If it's possible, we purpouse you to add the names of the fishing capture in your language. This could be a nice present for us to learn a little Italian or French or English...! This vídeo is registered at Arenys de Mar harbour.

Marine species from Arenys de Mar

Hello again from Canet de Mar.
Last tuesday we visited the "Llotja d'Arenys", our nearest fish market. We could see boats arriving from fishing and all the fishes going out the boats and being sold in the fish auctioning. We saw lots of different species and different prices.
Click on the graph it's interactive!

Comments from Sharky! (Marine species)

Hello!!!

CONGRATULATIONS FOR YOUR INFOGRAPHICS!!!
Now I know what I will find on the menu when I swim over to your part of the ocean.
So I see you appreciate more the red shrimps although you fish more european anchovies. No problem, I'll have the shrimps as a started and the anchovies as the main course, yummy!!!

Looking forward to the rest of infographics, I like changes in my diet!

Regards,

Sharky
